An extra inch or two can do wonders

While I was busy ranting about the heat, Mr. RK built a kayak. From scratch.

I wish my brain worked in ways like that. He designed it and built it and then redid the inside a little because he was a bit too tall for it. Afterwards, he said enthusiastically, "You wouldn't believe what an extra inch or two can do!"

And I replied, "Oh yes I can!" (Joey, I came up with this title this just for you!)

It's 16 feet long. Because size matters.

At first I was too chicken to go out in this. I've gone canoeing but this looks a lot less stable and there's no one else in the vessel, so I am a bit afraid of tipping over. By the time I got over that, Mr. RK already planned two kayaking outings with no room for me.

We'll see who benefits from the extra inches.

Can you tell my brain has melted? I hope you all have a good Fourth (no offense to my friends in the UK!)

Well! Congratulations? And that's definitely a Joey title.
I think I'd be a little chicken too with that size. Enjoy, and be sure to report back!

Ha! Great title. :) My sister is always wanting me to go kayaking and I have the same fear of flipping over.

That is a BEAUTIFUL Kayak!! And, yes, size does make a difference....lol!
Mr. RK is very very talented!!! Maybe he will build another one and then the two of you can go out together!!1 Sounds like great fun, to me!
HAPPY 4th, my dear....!

Wonderful title - and the kayak is an amazing achievement. And I so hope you get your chance soon.

I agree! A few extra inches goes a long ways.

As a guy with a thin waist and long legs, it's so hard to find good pants. :(

Never been in a Kayak, though I've enjoyed canoeing.

I am totally impressed that Mr. RK can build things. WOW! I will take your word for it about the "couple of inches" matters. I haven't had the occasion to compare many....kayaks.

It ain't the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean.

LOL - You're right about the inches, my friend...and wow, I can't believe he built that! Can we start calling him Noah? lol

Happy 4th, chica, and I just wrote a review on Amazon about your book.

Sometimes when your brain is melting, that's the best time to blog.

Hahahahaha! Who on earth wants more inches when it's already 16 feet long, I ask???

My mind has melted just at the thought!!

A great job done by Mr. RK, though.

Yeah, that was the perfect title to his post.

Mr. RK sounds a little bit like my daughter, who creates things just for the sake of creating things.

Gotta remember to bother her about that duct tape dress she made the other day.

Oh, god. The innuendos are all over the place! Getting wet is not always a bad thing.

Yes, that's what she said.

Steve: Agreed. Kind of hit or miss for me though.
Lee: Good point ;)
GB: You need to send a pic of that!
Birdie: Good one!
IA: You said it, sister.
Debra: Haha cheers!

Ha ha that's a great title, as long as you aren't directing at my manhood, as I've never had any complaints! :d :D

Joey: I was just trying to measure up to your standards. On post titles, get your mind out of the gutter!
