I have been trying to motivate myself to write about the trip, but with the news that a buddy who volunteers at my work has gone missing after a severe episode with depression, I am just not focused right now. This has, obviously, been very upsetting for those of us who consider him our friend.
So please send him your good thoughts - I left him a message and his phone is still on, which is a good sign.
In the meantime, so it's not all doom and gloom, here is the photo I wrote about! (Please ignore the hair that wilted in the New York humidity. I'm sure I would have appreciated it more had I been a mosquito.)

So sorry to hear about your friend. That is sad. Depression is a nasty beast and I hope he feels better soon.

Oh my. Is his position being held for him? Doesn't any of his family know where he might be? Do you believe, deep down, that he will be okay? Is there a police search involved? You are so sensitive that I know this is truly bothering you and I pray for his safe return.

Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone...yes, I am really worried at this point, but hopefully he's just hiding out and will be OK.
For those of you who didn't see the other post, this guy and a woman in a tank top and tiny shorts were taking donations for Broadway Cares, a longtime charity run by Broadway actors and staff to raise money for AIDS research and treatment. It was money well spent ;)
