We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog viewing...

I have had to enable comment moderation because of a troll.

I hate to have to do this. I have left up other comments of his that were not hateful. This isn't about deleting stuff I disagree with; it's about not allowing mean things in this place.

This blog exists in part to make other people laugh, ergo, make them - I hope - a little bit happy.

If you are a hard-core right-winger and you want to express yourself - no problem! You insult me and my blog buddies and spew = not allowed. Hopefully he'll slither back under the rock where he came from...

You know I haven't had this situation arise yet, but I'm waiting for the day when it will.

I'm sorry that it's happened to you too because you seem very tolerant and broad minded.

I have deleted comments I'm not comfortable with myself.

It's your blog, and what you say goes!

Wow, you know you've made it when your blog gets its very own troll!

The truth is the comments were not in bad taste. If the truth hurts does that mean it should be deleted?

Kitty has the right to be as close minded as she wants.

God Bless America!!!
Oh Bother.
Bye bye!!!

Oh nooo, Twin's blog is moderated. I had to do that too, for a while. Rock on, Kitty. Twin Powa. RAWR.

If it's your blog, it's your choice.

Sorry to hear that. I have a lot of opposing political views from you, but I respect yours and your blog! :)

JLee: LOL! I had no idea. Please feel free to post them...it's only when people get nasty that I delete. :)

K-Rod, my darling troll, if you don't think they were in bad taste, I wonder how you get through life without getting the shit beat out of you.

Stay nice and I'll post your comments, like I posted this one.

I understand the need to do it sometimes, some people are just so free nothing better to do.

Anyhooo.....I'm here as always for you :D

K-Rod interestingly enough has no blog of his own so he can run around blog-land willy with his nilly not worrying about retaliatory comments. Ignore the haters, they go away.

I lost one friend over a comment once. She blasted me for not giving to the poor (or something like that), which is a total lie. She based that assumption on something I'd written about St. Lazarus. Ridiculous. We haven't spoken since.

You're open minded and easy going, so if you delete a comment, I'm sure there's a good reason for it.

Scarlet: that sucks. I had a friend stop talking to me because I didn't invite her to my wedding, even though we didn't have any guests! People are weird.

D: If you boss lives in Minnesota... ;)

The comments that weren't in bad taste, FYI, included calling me a dumb bitch. Perhaps I'm just the sensitive type...

You're not the first person I've seen end up going through this and sadly, I know you won't be the last. I'm sure my "turn in the barrel" will come as well.

Blog on, my friend!

The nice thing about having your own blog is that it's yours and you can allow or delete whatever you'd like.

Now if a troll tried this same act with me, I would delete everything he said, good or bad, and block him to the end of time. Because posting on my blog is a privelidge. But you're much more kind and open minded than I, darling.

Riot Kitty said...

PG: Actually...that's not a bad idea :)

I am so sorry he followed you from my blog Kitty.
I have warned him to be respectful on my blog or I will delete him.
I certainly don't want him scaring away my bloggers.
Maybe PG has the right idea after all.

Green Tea: please stop apologizing! Good Lord, there have been a lot of comments here.
