Down into the rabbit hole

Just like Alice in Wonderland, I've disappeared into event week most of this week in preparation for the event Sunday. Unless I get hit by a bus, I will be much more relaxed by late Sunday afternoon, when it's all done.

Thanks so much, by the way, to my fellow bloggers who have made donations and supported me!

There's still time if you have $5 or $10 extra bucks.

But anyhow, I'm not the only one in this family who has taken to hiding out lately...we picked up a very cool retro dresser (I'm guessing it was made in the 1960s) and my cat Lucky loves hiding under it. Those are his huge rabbit feet (I swear he is part rabbit) sticking out from under it.

When I was little, I used to hang out and read in the small, boxy space under the headboard of my bed. Everyone knew where I was - but somehow it was fun to hide there anyhow.

How about you? Any favorite hiding places?

Im sorry, I didn't realize we could donate via the blog. Do you have a paypal site ?

My favorite hideout spot is in bed and asleep under the covers.

Like SeƱorita, I believe there's no better spot than under the comforter...not sleeping. ;)

To hide, however, I would choose the bathtub. I could hide in a bubblebath for hours and no one would bother me.

I donated a little bit, too. :) And I hope your event goes well and you can relax on Sunday.

Like Ily, I can disappear into the bathtub - love the bubbles and the quiet.

I know this is going to sound odd, but my favorite hiding place is right out in the open.

I'm relatively short enough (5' 5") and non-outgoing in situations where I don't know anyone, so I can blend in to the point where I can't be found.

Thanks for the shout out and I was glad to donate to such a worthy cause.

Thanks for the shout out!

Yes at our flat. Not so much hiding as chilling. I love being there.

That's probably what I miss most about having a cat in the house, the great places they find to hang out. We had a cat that loved to sit on top of the refrigerator and another cat that would sit in a round cut-out in the wall. Like he was a piece of art on display!

Your story about hiding under your headboard reminds me of my favorite spot when I was little: between the couch and an end table. I would put a blanket over the "opening;" take books in; read and fall asleep there... my mom has some great pictures of me sleeping there since I refused to nap in my bed.

PS: Our cats must be related; Pete has *huge* rabbit feet and hops around all the time.

Happy Friday!

I like hiding in my bed as well. It's just so nice there.

Mac: I suppose that's also a really good pickup line ;)
