The only thing I can think to post right now
The past few days have sucked for me, as I am guessing they have for most of you. I can't post anything I'm feeling without being full of sadness and rage...so here's this instead.
I think that sadness and rage are entirely appropriate. However another blogger pointed out something I had been overlooking. This is a tragedy - for the families, for the police, the fire-fighters, the medical professionals, the survivors. However, despite the sad and bad actions of this individual (and others like him) there are many, many more people in the world who do not, and never will, commit these senseless and obscene acts.
And your 'only thing you could think of to post right now' hits the spot. Thank you.
We're all feeling down now. It's discouraging to know it truly could happen any place, any time, to any person. And me, well, I don't have kids, but I'd like to have kids in the future, and it's hard knowing I'll have to bring them into a world like this.

I don't think we were meant to deal with such horribleness. There are no words to describe it.

Of the three, Peace, Love and Understanding the third is the most difficult. How will we ever understand such tragedies?
