At dinner a couple of weeks ago, Mr. RK asked, "Who would star in the movie of your life?"
And I replied, "Snoopy."
That popped into my head because Mr. RK says of all of the Peanuts characters, I am the most like Snoopy, in temperament. (I'm guessing this is because I'm verbal and cute enough that I get away with it, as opposed to having long furry ears.) I think he is most like Schroeder: clever, a musician, aloof to interruptions (including people) that would drive most of us nuts.
So I asked him, "Who would star in your movie?"
And he replied, "Christopher Walken. Pause. "Now I'm picturing Snoopy having sex with Christopher Walken."
Me: "I am now scarred for life."
I won't put in a picture of him here, because I don't want any of you to be scarred in a similar way!
Who would star in the movie of your life, and why? And which Peanuts character best fits you?

LOL, LOL, LOL....WEll, I have no idea....!
But....let me say that Christopher Walken is an incredibly talented man and can play just about Anything or Anyone---Not just the creepy sort of guys we mostly see him play.
There is an independant film out right now called "THE LATE QUARTET"....C.W. is absolute perfection in it and plays a very touching dear man...! Academy Award acting....! And Walken is a great Dancer, too!
As to who in the Snoopy Group would be closest to me? Well, I honestly don't know, my dear.
Pretty Boring, I know---Sorry! I'll have to study them more to get an answer to that one.
I don't know enough about the Peanuts characters to guess!
I'd kinda like Eminem to star in the movie of my life.
Oh this brings to mind my favorite Facebook post of the season. It shows Christopher Walken dressed in a white suit, standing in a forest surrounded by snow and snow-covered trees and the caption is "Walken in a Winter wonderland."
You are Snoopy by the way. Perfect. I would probably be Charlie Brown.
The actor portraying me in the movie of my life would be Meryl Streep or Roseanne Barr. Just shows how split my personality really is.
I've seen enough of Christopher Walken as an actor that I would want him to play me in a movie version of my life. Or, if he wasn't available, Robert Duvall.
I won't even comment on your comment about being verbal and cute enough to get away with it, 'cause you know, not only do I like you as a person, but I've seen what you look like. (joke, joke, joke :D)
As for what kind of Peanuts character, I would probably say temperment-wise, just call me Lucy.
Well, I have a Snoopy tattoo so my answer better be Snoopy!
Kathy Bates.
Have you seen Christopher Walken with Glenn Close in the Sarah Plain and Tall movies?
I can't hear the name Christopher Walken without thinking of his scene in Pulp Fiction where he talk about the watch he carried up his arse for 5 years. Now add that to your picture of Walken and Snoopy. Egads.
I'd be played by Ryan Gosling (clearly), and my wife would be played by Tyler Perry in drag as "Big Mama Madea" or whatever awful name he gave that creation.
Now picture THAT sex scene.
You're welcome.
I had to go look at the list of Peanut characters...Frieda..I would definitely be Frieda. She was the one with the naturally curly hair and treated CB better than the others because she felt bad for him.
As for who would play me. I would ask for Sophia Vergara but I would get Rita Wilson.
Christopher Walken may be talented but he scares the hell out of me, almost as much as picturing him with Snoopy on any level. OMG, no! lol
I can see how you'd be Snoopy, the perfect friends. We've never met (yet) and you've already showed me lots of kindness and concern. You are a cool one, like Snoopy, too.
As for who would star in my movie, hmm...Charo, maybe. J/K! ;)
I'm going to say Susan Sarandon, because I think she's so cool.
And I took one of those What Peanuts Character are you the most like tests once and I was most like Marcie! Not sure what I think about that. :)
I don't think a movie of my life SHOULD be made, so I will pass on the first.
Snoopy character? Changes with the wind. Somedays I would like to let my inner Lucy out more. She is not a victim - of anything, including herself.
I never really followed the Peanuts gang so I don't know too many of the personalities that great.
I'd like to have someone like Martin Freeman but I'd probably have someone a lot uglier.
I love these answers! And Charles, don't worry...that was already in my head.
Lynn: Marcie was very loyal and considerate, and the peacemaker. There were several situations where she had a lot more brains than "Sir" and smoothed things over. I didn't know there was a Peanuts quiz! Marcie wouldn't be a bad character to be ;)
Okay! Having studied a bit more about this wonderful group...(I really didn't know them all that well...) I think Snoopy & Lucy combined, should play me....There is no doubt I am a mixture of these two---And getting more like Lucy, in certain ways, as I get older....! LOL!
happy new year!
wishing you and yours all the best in 2013!
may it be the best ever!
xo
Happy New Year RK...I love snoopy :D
I think I'm a Snoopy too, now I think of it.
Thanks everyone!
OLOTH: We must be family. Those are the two characters everyone tells me I am the most like ;)
I am now scarred for life too. Christopher Walken & Snoopy having sex just justified 2 years of therapy... along with the day I caught my parents :P ;-)
I think Mel Gibson would be me in the movie of my life. Think about it...he's kinda crazy, so am I. I have blue eyes, he does too. He has a nice ass, but mine is better. We are both bad-ass and so on.
As for what Peanuts character... I forget the name but I would be that silly yellow bird that can't fly for shit!
IA: Haha! Sorry about that...OMG! You caught your parents? That is more disturbing. Parents aren't supposed to have sex.
Dan: Hmm. I'll have to go look at his ass. The bird is Woodstock ;)
BTW, GB: Now everyone knows I have long furry ears ;)
Woodstock! That's it! I knew that.
it's hard to say if it would be edward norton or kevin perrera that would play me... and as for peanuts character I'd say linus
BT: Excellent choices.
Peanuts character? Lucy all the way, baby!
Debra: Good choice ;) That was actually one of my nicknames when I was little.
