Toys!

Are you ever too old to get toys for presents? I don't think so. I had a roommate in college who was a psychology major and theorized that I was trying to reinvent my childhood. No, I said, I just like toys!

I have so many stuffed animals (particularly cats, bunnies and bears) that it is probably socially irresponsible. I mean, there's probably an ordinance about it somewhere.

Tonight I met my friend K for what she calls a "senior dinner" - we met right after I left the office, before 5 pm, so it was really like second lunch - and we exchanged belated holiday gifts. I am now the proud owner of this awesome mug, which I plan to take to work to intimidate my boss.

One of my Christmas presents from Mr. RK (that I picked out for myself) was this "Ladies of the 80s" Blondie doll:

...and her evil twin, Joan Jett Barbie, is on her way to my Twin Fireblossom's house.

AND there is also a Cyndi Lauper Barbie. I think Ily should get her, and then we could all meet in Miami and play house.

Is there a GI Jane Barbie?? As in like Demi Moore from the film? If so I'll have that one and then we'll all get together and my GI Jane won't bother playing house, she'll burn the place down!

That's my girl. :D

Super Granny Barbie is what I'm looking for. After all Barbie is a Baby Boomer and should be a hip granny by now.

When I was in college, I paid an assload of money for toys that I wanted when I was a child but my mommy wouldn't buy them for me.
Oh, when I say assload, I mean assload. I mean like a year's tuition on toys.
Right now, they're all in boxes in my laundry room.

Darth: Is there a Storm doll?
C: Me too!
Joey: Fantastic idea!
GA: LOL!
WIGSF: Seriously? How much is a year of tuition in your country?

That mug is fantastic! I want one to use in my 4 wheel drive farm truck with the offensive bumper stickers on the back, you know just to round out the badassness.

Wonder Woman! Who doesn't love Wonder Woman? That's awesome!

And your Debbie Harry looks awesome, Twin. Guess what?

"Ooohhh...now I don't hardly know her..."

JOAN came today!!! I am really impressed with these Ladies of the 80s Barbies. I half expect the Blackhearts to show up at my door demanding I give Joan back! But I won't, no no noooo. Hehe! Thank you, Twin!

Toys rule.

PS-to Whatigotsofar: sometimes ya just have to scratch that itch, yanno?

HA! People say I'm in my second childhood because of my toy obsession.

Nope.. like you, I just love toys!! Plain and simple! There's never been a time where I haven't bought toys in some form for myself. Maybe I'm perpetually stuck in childhood in some form. If that's the case.. what's so wrong with that I ask? =^D

I am boycotting the Ladies of the 80s Barbies until they add Pat Benatar and Chrissie Hynde. Wah!
