The man in the bunny suit

Flashback to Easter, 2001. I have only lived in the Pacific Northwest for a few months, and my parents are still living in Portland. I'm at their house for brunch, look out the kitchen window, and see a very tall man in a bunny suit hopping across their neighbors' yard, throwing eggs. He looks up and waves, then hops off.

"He must be a fun guy," I say.

My dad, who rarely swears, says, "Actually, he's kind of an asshole!"

Go figure - those were the neighbors that wouldn't even say "Happy Halloween" back to my little bro and parents when they went trick-or-treating. I guess it goes to show you that just about everyone can be fun sometimes.

Or maybe that some people just like to use the holidays as an excuse to play dress up.

Do you have any Easter, Passover, or spring traditions?

lol at the man in the bunny suit. :)

Just church - my family had a dinner down in Florida in honor of Easter, but I missed it this year.

An excuse to dress up for sure! I saw a few interesting outfits when we were out yesterday.

My only Easter tradition is the avoidance of meat on Friday and Saturday. I don't eat any meat on the Friday but I always give in and have some chicken on Saturday. The giving in on Saturday has become tradition too.

Yeah, eating too much chocolate and then going on the scales and going "Oh shit". :D

Everyday is dress up day for me! :D

That's a funny story. No bunny suits for me, but I still make "baskets" for the kids...chocolate bunnies, candy and toys inside purses, pails, funky boxes...anything but Easter baskets. Just started that tradition a couple of years ago...and they like it because they can use whatever holds their goodies to store things in all year round. :)

Lynn: 10 years later, we are still LOLing!
A: But did you take pictures?!
WIGSF: LOL! A fine tradition.
Joey: Right with you on the tradition...and I love it how you accessorize!
I: NOM! I want a basket with chocolate bunnies.

I have no traditions. Except dressing up in a bunny suit, hopping around tossing eggs in the yard of my neighbor. To whom I refuse to say Happy Halloween.

My mum used to hide some chocolate eggs for me and my brother and I guess my tradition was to eat as many of my brother's found eggs...(yeap kid sister from Hell)

Easter is a great time to get with your favourite Jesus and take hallucinogenic drugs.

I so miss taking my children to Woodward Park in Tulsa after church on Easter. We would take pictures among the floral and fauna of the season. It was a most special time of loving memories.
