And the letter of the day is...fucking brr!

OK, I grew up in Minnesota - but I haven't lived there since I was 6.

It snows maybe once or twice a year where I live in the Pacific Northwest, and usually it melts quickly.

Yesterday, we got 5 inches of snow and with the windchill, it was 7 degrees.

I think it should be illegal for temperatures to have less than 2 digits, don't you?

I know...most of the country is probably laughing at us for all of the closures. Mr. Riot Kitty was sweet enough to go out in the morning yesterday, before the snow really came down and the roads were closed, and got me a coffee for yesterday AND for today :)

In the meantime, it's pretty, but I'm a bit claustrophobic. Let's just say I'm dreaming of a greener Xmas.

You're dreaming of what?? I want to walk in a winter wonderland and you want GREEN??

Nothing's more pathetic than blinking palm trees in December. Trust me. You got a good view, good coffee...it's all good.

During the snow I went to the airport to pick up Emily. No problem there and back, though it did take an hour each way instead of 15 minutes. Drove to work and back yesterday, no problem all day.

Walked to the mailbox on my way in, reached in my pocket to make sure I had my phone before heading in the office...boom. Fell flatter than a pancake, scraped up my leg, wrenched my back a bit.

How awesome is that? Dangerous stuff like driving on ice for about 60 or 70 miles, no problem. Working in this crap, no problem. Walking around...problem.

*sigh*

Scarlet: You have no idea how much I want to see a blinking palm tree right about now! My dad called today and said, "We checked the weather online where you live last night - it said 15 degrees but feels like 2. FEELS LIKE TWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Darth: Ouch! I am sorry!

RK: This is a wonderful blog. I really love the part about me!

DW: Ice appears to the substance that you are most vulnerable to. Perhaps you are leading a secret life? Superhero maybe? You can tell us, we'll keep your identity to ourselves.

Where there is injustice, Darth Weasel is there. (unless it is cold and wet)

Mr R.K.,

the problem with your hypothesis that I am secretly a superhero is manifold, but here are just two:
From The Wizard of Oz we learned water is a weakness for witches and warlocks
2) my evil nature might inhibit the altruistic tendencies of heroic people

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I dread leaving the house at the moment - surely hibernation is the way forward?

I almost had an ice storm here, had the temperature been just a couple degrees colder. I haven't seen much snow and I'd like to keep it that way. After I leave for Christmas, then it can snow here. Just let me out of town first!!
