I have often said on this blog (and in life) that I think we would be better off if we approached relationships the same way cats do. Mr. RK has taken a short clip of Vasil (left, all black) and Mandrake (giant Oreo-looking cat on the right), who have kindly lent their skills to demonstrate this.
Once again: size up the situation, wap at your opponent and get it out of your system, then later, perhaps, have a cuddle. (You won't get me interested in ear licking, however.)

How familiar it is. Sadly, some cats are as slow about relationships as some people. We had a cat who would lovingly lick the face, and cheeks of another of our cats. He would sit there and soak it up. As soon as he extended his throat so that she could scrootch there - she leapt in, teeth bared. He never learned. But didn't carry a grudge either.
This is a GREAT Video....Cats get it all, don't they? I love that it starts out so sweet....and then before you know it....BAM!!!!LOL!
what an amazing video! hehe cats just seem to be unpredictable. cats get it all...
dogs have masters, but cats have a staff.
have a great day!
big hugs~
Just like my two...it's never serious though. Once in a while they give a half-hearted his at each other and bit of whack...but that's about the extent of it. You'd soon hear and see if it was. My two are brother and sister and will be 11 years old on 4th November coming up.
They learned that from me and the husband.
As a cat owner and a cat lover, I find them to be fascinating little creatures. Maybe they are all dealing with multiple personalities. One second they are wanting petted but one too many pets, and you get your hand bitten.
Mandrake was really showing his love right up to the second he got slapped by Vasil. That was pretty funny. (They are really sweet.)
Ha! That looks like the U.S. congress!
Heh, I wonder if a similar video could be done with dogs.
Ha, I was interested to hear your voice! Why is it I'm always shocked to hear anyone talk with an American accent when they are American? :D
Cute cats, doing what cats do. :)
EC: Maybe he had no short-term memory? :)
Naomi: Before you know, it, bam! Is a great way to sum it up!!
Betty: Love that about cats having staff!
Lee: Happy birthday to them! My guys seem pretty serious. Then they cuddle.
Abby: I totally laughed out loud when I read that!
Cheryl: I'm totally puzzled about the one-too-many-pets thing. All of a sudden they go from purry to bitey. Mandrake also has a licking fetish, Mr. RK thinks. He licks Vasil, us, himself, his toys...
Dexter: I think my cats are more mature than that, thank you!
DW: Hmm. You want to try and find out?
Joey: HAHA! Perhaps because BBC has British people play Americans and they have such terrible accents, just like we have Americans play British people and do a shitty job too ;)
I think I sound weird on this though, like I'm in a tunnel. I didn't realize we were being recorded!
I chuckled at the end when you said, "...what the hell is that?"
That's just such cat-like behavior - it makes me miss having cats. You spell it out perfectly - sizing up the situation and then the wapping. :)
Long being used to the sound of your voice, it was the perfect compliment to a cute video.
LOL. I was not expecting that attack.

This is an awesome video. In the span of 1 minute, these cats have accurately depicted every relationship I've ever had.
Aw, what a couple of cutie pies!
Lynn: I totally don't remember what I was referring to!
GB: Thanks :)
Birdie: I will check it out!
ABFS: Happy to oblige ;)
SR: Thanks!
