Our gala dinner at work is coming up this week.
Long story short, last year I had a "wardrobe malfunction" and had to go commando that night in a room full of Republicans...and was dumb enough to tell a colleague about it...and haven't lived it down since.
So we're on the phone today and event dress code comes up.
She asks, "Will you be wearing underwear this year?"
Just cross your fingers that everything - garments included - goes smoothly for us, won't you?

Ha, ha, yeah underwear at gala dinners is probably a good idea!
I never get the dress code right,so good luck.
I remember reading about that night on your blog, at least I think it was here (I hope), or maybe it was about another time you went commando; I know it was something about you not wearing undies and I commented that in Miami (maybe due to the climate) that wouldn't be unusual. Remember that?? :)
Anyway, hope everything goes beautifully for you, amiguita, and don't forget to keep your "ropa interior" on! ;)
CONGRABULATIONS!!!
You just got me to stop using that particular plot device in my writings.
Have you blogged about this commando incident? If not, please do.
Go topless this time. Hehe.
I have one word for you... SPANX. They show no panty line and hold everything where it is supposed to be. A miracle made from lycra.
Good luck, RK!!!
Maybe you could tuck a wee thong into your purse for such occasions. :)
My fingers are crossed for smoothliness!
def wishing you the best at the event and to extend it a bit...in all the work you do with that organization.
Good luck at not going commando.
Or something like that.
Best story ever.
LOL everyone!
The post in question does refer to underwear mishaps...here it is:

You have to have some kind of fun -- and Republicans certainly aren't going to provide it.
You were stuck in a room full of Republicans?
Good luck ! I hate going commando !
L: LOL! We have more of a mixed group this year - one of the honorees last year was a retired politico.
MZ: I know...it was interesting!
S: Me too. Hopefully I won't have to!
Oh I'm sure you'll have a good time, show us some pix ya :D
As long as you don't pull a Lindsay Lohan getting out of the car, who cares?
S: I will!
J: LOL! Nah, that didn't happen.
