I realized this after reading
a story in our local paper.
Imagine having a terrible disease that claimed a part of each of your limbs...but going on and taking dancing lessons! And performing in front of people, and going to Julliard to teach students about dance.
Take a moment and read it...this young woman is a real inspiration. I'm going to try and remember it the next time I want to whine about anything.

Wow, I should've linked this post with my last one. That little girl's amazing!
Such an inspiration!

I love hearing about people like her who have such grace and dignity. Thanks for sharing.
What would we be without our heroes? Inspiring. Only she'll ever know what she had to go through!
Thanks for sharing.
You try to be so tough but you're really just a marshmallow. A very inspiring story to be sure.
That made me cry..and you are not a selfish twit or you wouldn't give a dam..
Glad everyone enjoyed it - I found it incredibly inspiring.
GT: I didn't meant to make you cry!
thing is, I am going to go out on a limb here and say something politically unpopular and politically incorrect...not exactly virgin territory for me, though :-)
What I find amazing is the way people adapt to their reality. The person who cannot walk finds great fortune n it, yet has other things they complain about that to one who can walk finds trivial...and vice versa.
At the same time, it is always good to step back and get perspective on it. Sometimes perhaps it can get us to appreciate what we have more and complain less...
but I doubt it. We live in America where complaining, no matter how things are, is our birthright and in our blood I think maybe
Thanks for sharing this RK and it certainly appreciate what we have really.
Darth! Yes, you would like a spanking.
Shionge: I agree!
