This blogger's commentary on a 1977 J.C. Penney catalog is pure comedic genius!

It makes me wonder what my parents were wearing - I was born in the 70s. I haven't found any terribly fashion-incriminating pictures of them (or of me, thank God), but they probably got this catalog in the mail.
It's like Dr. Seuss threw up.
Did they fall over roaring with laughter? Did they even notice, because it was the 70s, after all?
I suppose I should thank them for not buying the neon green shag toilet cover or the men's nightdress...
Do you remember that Dr. Seuss book, Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? I didn't know just how lucky, apparently.

I've actually seen worse. In person. In the seventies.
To this day, that putrid color "avocado green" gives me flashbacks that can only be cured by listening to The BeeGees singing "Stayin' Alive".
My sister had some lime green bellbottoms when we were in Junior High. haha
I thought they were quite nice at the time ;)
Good God! I was only 1 when this catalog came out, so maybe I haven't remembered anything so lovely...
Born in 72. Some of those ads look VERY familiar!
I must confess to having worn a jumpsuit. And lime green. But not lime green jumpsuits. I must remember to thank my mom for not buying me lime green jumpsuits.
ah, but think how fun it will be when someone discovers an 80s catalog...stone-washed jeans, ripped jeans, the hair that made Tammy Fay Bakker famous...bwooohahahahah
I wish I could find one to rip off this idea with. Like those album covers...
