The resident wit

I haven't posted for a few days because I'm off this week and the resident wit, e.g. my brother B, is visiting.

We've been having conversations like this:

On food safety:

Me: "The government doesn't really have tough food safety standards. Especially not for meat."
B: "So cows that do badly in high school go straight to Taco Bell."

On what a great place this is to visit:

Me: "Mom said she was impressed that you came to see us instead of going to Disneyland. I didn't think you liked Disneyland that much."
B: "I don't."

Stay tuned, he'll probably say something dry and funny in the next few minutes.

I wish all of the adults I encountered were this intelligent. I keep getting work emails about an event that is six weeks away, where you can literally just show up the day of the event (and mind you, this is all over our website, etc.), and people ask, "Is it too late to sign up?"

And I would like to respond, "No, but you are disqualified. You must wear shoes to the event, and you're obviously not bright enough to tie them."

And on to Taco Bell we go.

LOL,LOL....Hope you are having fun with your brother and maybe a quick stop at Taco Bell is required....I myself have never been there....And have never been to MacDonalds or Fat Burger...I'm thinking the FDA hasn't been to any of those places either....!

Ha! I love B's quips.

Hm, over here we have people who clearly don't know the difference between a cow and a horse - many products which advertise themselves as "beef" are turning out to have a good dose of horse meat mixed in...

I kind of like Taco Bell (hanging head in shame.)

I'm glad you are having fun with your bro. :)

Your brother's wit is obviously a family characteristic.

A quick-witted person is a joy to be around alright. Enjoy your brother's visit!

I am sure I would rather visit you than go to Disneyland.

I love dry witty humor. Could we trade brothers? Mine has NO sense of humor.

Now I'm craving that Cool Ranch Doritos thingy all the kids are talking about. Thanks!

A brother's wit can be admired, or detested! Depending on who it is aimed at. :)

What WiWillie said, did you try the Cool Ranch Dorito thing? I've been morbidly curious about it? And love them or leave them, but siblings are always the ones that "get you" the most. And vice-versa. Oh, and tomorrow is actually National Sibling Day, so timely!

I like your brother already. Sounds like a hilarious guy.

And speaking of stupid phrases:

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Have fun.

Naomi: Good for you!
C: Me too. He's quite clever.
RC: Ugh, I read about that...makes me glad I am a vegan.
Lynn: Their bean burritos are vegan if you don't get the cheese, so I indulge once in awhile. My other brother tells me their grade D meat stands for "delicious."
EC: Why thank you!
Debra: I will :)
GA: You're sweet! You'd hear more four letter words here, but then again, I think Tinkerbell would swear if they let her speak.
Cheryl: That is a shame. You should visit B.
W: You mean the salt nightmares?
CG: Good point!
Kathleen: No, because I'm a vegan, but I wonder if it would taste like Frito pie.
DW: He's awesome. And, um, I am not sure what your phrase means?

I love to surround myself with witty people. It keeps me on my toes, and keeps my brain constantly working. Plus, it makes for some great laughs.

ABFTS: Good points! And it's better than surrounding yourself with idiots, although they do make for good material for posts.

Hahaha! Your brother sounds like quite a character!
