Gilgamesh and Leonidas

Papa RK sent an e-mail a couple of days ago, with the subject line, "I don't know how this happened!"

My little sister was supposed to get a puppy at the shelter, but she came home with two new kitties instead. (There is already a grown-up boy cat and a bird that he consistently tries to eat. Everyone except my little sister is rooting for him.)

They had already been named by their cat foster family - Gilgamesh (orange) and Leonidas (Siamese.) I asked Papa RK who came up with them.

"Some pretentious prick," he replied.

Enjoy!

Cute!!!! I love kittens. But I don't think I want another one - at least for a while. Leonidas looks a little older? Hard to tell.

OMG, how adorable...and you know I've always wanted an orange kitty! You're totally inspiring me...and with Christmas right around the corner...hmm. Maybe I'll start that wish list now. :)

Kittens can sure be entertaining when they feel like it can't they?

Addendum to previous comment. My best friend called and said "Come see the neighbor's kittens." I replied, "No because I'll end up bringing one home." My friend said, "No you won't and your kids need to see these cuties before they do give them away." And so we went to see the kitties and came home with two who lived with us for 9 and 17 years. NEVER accept an invitation to just go look at kittens!

I remember when I had birds and cats simultaneously. My cats were always going after the bird cage. It was like a Looney Tunes cartoon.

I love the "pretentious prick" comment. I think I agree! :D Mind you I have no taste when it comes to naming cats, ours were called Pixie and Bubble. :D

Great vid!

Hah, that's a great answer, but to hell with pretense. I appreciate a good, unique pet name.

Joey; That's hilarious!
ABFTS: Well, ours came with the names Lucky and Earl Grey. Those are pretty unique. Except everyone thinks I'm a tea lover.

It's apparent that kitties don't find the easy way in any fun.

Must say that if someone paid me to weatch kitties at play, I'd be a millionaire.

Sprightly sight.
