Fuckety fuck fuck FUCK!

Some weeks, I think we are just not meant to get out of bed. I mean, it would be so much easier if I was a bear and could just hibernate.

Among other things, I went dress shopping for an event we have at work.

Foolishly, I tried on a babydoll dress (do those look good on anyone?) and my boobs didn't fit into the boob section. Complaining to a friend, she looked at me point blank and said, "You're surprised?"

I sent out a somewhat bitchy e-mail to one person - and it accidentally went to the entire Yahoo group. Fuck.

Oh yeah - about that event - it's a formal luncheon for about 300. An RSVP was required. I have given the numbers to the caterer and they have ordered the food.

Does this stop me from getting the following questions? (I'll give you three guesses.)

"But I meant to RSVP." (Too fucking bad.)

"Can't I just stand in the back and not eat?" (No, because of fire code.)
"Really?" (No, I just made that up to piss you off.)

"But isn't there anything else you can do?" (Yes, but I didn't want to tell you during these last five minutes, I just wanted to hear you whine.)

And no, the lolcat has nothing to do with this post...I just thought it was funny.

Those follow up questions always...amuse is not the word I am looking for, i will let you use your imagination as to what is...me.

As if they will get a DIFFERENT answer if they ask the same question a 7th way.

The world is full of geniuses. The previous statemetn was typed on opposite day.

and final irony...my verify word is "exessers". yes, excessive questions...excessive stupidty...ah, people

I have come to believe that people don't understand what RSVP means or you should put it in 72 point type on the invite. :)

To answer your question, no, baby doll dresses don't look good on anyone----unless it's halfway on/off.

Then they look fine.

raised eyebrow ala John Belushi

It's funny how people become incredibly stupid when you enforce something like an RSVP, or in my case, give them three months to fix a problem, only for them to express shock when you turn it over to a debt collector.

What the hell is a babydoll dress? Is it as awful as the name suggests?

I laid in bed this morning until 20 minutes before I had to leave for work trying to figure out a good enough excuse for why I couldn't go to work that day. Then I remembered I had bills so I got up. I love that you wrote WEEKS and not days; the former is much more apt.

I have a terrible fear of doing that with an e-mail!

Why do people WANT to come to work luncheons? I would be begging to get out of it...

Eeks, baby doll dresses still exsist? Anybody over 4 looks stupid in any of those.... unless you work in a gentlemen's club and your life is centered around a pole...and no need to rsvp then.

D: Perhaps they really *do* believe they'll get another answer...not the brightest crayons in the box.
L: I am going to do that next year!
I: LOL! All I can say is, be careful what you wish for!
G: LOL on both! Glad I made you grin.
C: I loved the lolkitty :)
GA: That is a GREAT idea.
Joey: Yes. Actually, it's probably worse.
CB: Haha! Yep, weeks is what I'd like.
MZ: It was definitely an "Oh fuck!" moment.
Libby: I have no idea. I mean, I think we do nice events, but personally I'd rather go get Chipotle by myself and bring a book. As opposed to going across town to see 300 of my closest friends.

H: You posted literally right as I was replying...hahaha! Good point.

Yo..I love the title of this post :) It sounds perfectly right ;)

On a serious note .... about RSVP I get piss when pple dont response because a great amount of effort and resources goes into planning.

Last Sunday, I volunteered at a Single Mom event for 132 Moms & Kids of which about 40 pax did not turn up. Volunteers need to call them individually and some merely say they forgot!!!! To me, that's unacceptable because it is a Sunday...could be all volunteers' rest day too.
