A protest? I'll bring the goat, of course...

Pardon the long absence. I've been dealing with some stuff. Everyone is safe and sound, but moods (mine) have been in the tank. I promise I will visit your blogs soon!

On the plus side...there is always something to make us laugh.

There is a movement in Portlandia now that has some validity, IMHO - "Stop Demolishing Portland." Essentially residents want developers to stop building up lots, tearing down houses, and putting up monstrosities that ruin the local character and take up most of the greenspace.

We're generally a peaceful bunch, but protesting probably originated in Portland...and we're weird.

So of course, if there's a protest about pulling down an old house, why not bring your pet goat? On a leash? And put it on top of a car?

It should be noted that the site of the protest was not far from my office, which is now smack dab in the middle of marijuana sales central. Unrelated? I think not...

And what other city in America would have this as a news headline?

Naked burglar climbs into bed with couple, is chased by armed resident, police say

Well, never a dull moment here. How about you?

Perfect timing. I was just about to send you an RUOK? email.
Glad to hear that if not ok, you are getting there. And that your sense of humour is undiminished.

We all take a dive in the tank once and a while. Glad you are back with laughter.

Well, at least it wasn't the goat who climbed into the bed!

Humanity is passing strange. Glad I'm an alien just passing through.

Goats and bed jumpers. I'm not quite sure how to defend against such things!

You know what? I am planning a trip to Oregon on August 21, 2017. Do you know why? I am probably the only one who cares but it is on my Bucket List!

Interesting to hear that the residents actually care about this stuff. Out here on the Right Coast, we have been led to believe by the all powerful/all obnoxious media that history is thing to be destroyed out there. That people like/embrace progress and to H-E-L-L with the past.

Learn something new every day.

The World Is Going Nuts! And Portlandia is just the tip of the Iceberg! I LOVE that the intruder wanted to get in bed with his prey.....OY! LOL, LOL......

Glad you are back, my dear, and, in spite of everything, you are still ready to laugh.....

I LOVE GOATS. I don't know why, but there is something so sweet about them. Putting one on the top of one's car? Well....THAT is a bit much, and might be construed as Cruelty To Animals....!

Like I said....the World Is Going Nuts!

I hope you're feeling better now.

P.S. In the middle of marijuana sales central?

Sorry to hear your mood's been in the tank. Have you tried any of those marijuana sales? Or a pet goat? Or a marijuana smoking pet goat?

Kidding aside, like OldLady, I just love goats and their stupid square eyes. Even when being used as methods of protest. Don't ask me why.

I hope you feel better!

On TOP of the car? That really gets my goat (sorry...) No photo of the threesome?
Hope you're out of the tank.

Hope you are OK - sounds as if you are, I think. I was going to check in on you today, but there you are. (Life has been going full speed here.)

The goat is so cute, but I would have been concerned about it flying off the car! I guess they were going slowly. :)

I'm glad it was you and Mr. RK or my niece and her boyfriend that the naked burglar climbed into bed with! (I know it's not them because there would be no armament at their place.)

Ha ha why am I not surprised that there's a goat at a Portland protest

Any goat can climb up on top of a car...and any goat can attend a rally, but not every goat can crawl naked into a bed!!!

A Goat-test....how brilliantly Portland. Nothing but excellent blog fodder in that city.

I would love to have a pet goat, I think it would be loads of fun and no more mowing the lawn! Yay!
Here's the latest weird news in our area....
Entrepreneurs Work to Bring 1st 'Cat Cafe' to Minneapolis ...
Three women are looking to launch “The Café Meow,” a place with a “fun and relaxing environment” where people can spend time with cats and enjoy coffee and tea, according to the café’s website.

Seems it's the other way around here in the UK. We are pulling down shops and pubs to build houses, which I actually think is a good thing. Finally we are accepting that we have too many shops and not enough places for people to live. I'm sure as people buy more and more online even more shops will go. I know some people think this is a bad thing, but I don't.

Glad you are okay, I know all about real life shit getting in the way.

A pet goat? I'd love one. Especially the cute small ones.
But my brother's goats, all 12 of those huge monstrosities were stolen from him three years back by dug addicts.
